Mirziyoyev Signs Law Ratifying Regulation on the Secretariat of the “Central Asia–China” Format

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law ratifying the Regulation on the Secretariat of the “Central Asia–China” format.

The document is aimed at strengthening regional cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and China and provides for the development of collaboration in political, economic, transport, and investment spheres, as well as in energy, education, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

The Regulation on the Secretariat defines its tasks, key areas of activity, and operational mechanisms within the “Central Asia–China” format. The Secretariat performs a coordinating role in implementing agreements between partner countries, ensures effective execution of practical projects, and establishes a permanent platform for dialogue.

Ratifying this regulation will enhance Uzbekistan’s participation in regional integration processes, promote the development of economic, investment, infrastructure, and transport-logistics initiatives, facilitate the creation of new corridors, and increase trade turnover.

The adoption of the law represents an important step in advancing Uzbekistan’s initiatives to expand regional cooperation and strengthen constructive dialogue with its partners.
