Mirziyoyev Signs Decree to Establish Bauman University Branch in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to establish a branch of the Moscow State Technical University named after N. E. Bauman in Tashkent.

The new institution will train specialists with profound scientific and technical knowledge, as well as skills in applying innovative approaches in engineering.
According to the decree, the branch will engage not only in educational activities but also in conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of engineering. Academic programs are set to begin in the 2026/2027 school year, with student admissions based both on state-funded scholarships and tuition-based contracts.
Graduates of the branch will receive diplomas of the established Bauman University standard, which will be recognized in Uzbekistan as a higher education qualification.
Currently, Uzbekistan hosts branches of 15 Russian universities, including Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology, Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University, VGIK, MISiS, MEPhI, MGIMO, and others.
