Mirziyoyev, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Middle East Situation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —On 29 March, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

At the start of the discussion, the leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Ramadan Hayit – Eid al-Fitr. Both sides expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the Middle East. They emphasized that preventing further escalation and seeking a comprehensive resolution serve the interests of regional states and contribute to global stability.

President Mirziyoyev expressed solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia during this challenging period and voiced support for the Kingdom’s measured approach. He also thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for facilitating favorable conditions for Uzbek citizens performing Umrah.

In turn, the Crown Prince highly appreciated the friendly stance and support expressed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The leaders agreed to strengthen high-level contacts and coordinate joint efforts to further develop bilateral and multilateral relations.
