Mirziyoyev Reviews Project for All-Season “Chimgan” Resort in Bostanlyk
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the prospects of a new tourist complex in Bostanlyk District of Tashkent Region, an area that has seen active development of recreational infrastructure in recent years.
The region already hosts major facilities such as “Amirsay,” “Chinarkent,” and “Charvak Gates,” along with modern hotels, leisure zones, and dining establishments.
Joining them is the international all-season “Chimgan” resort, being developed in partnership with the French company MND.
The project covers 1,278 hectares of land. Plans include the construction of hotels and a cable car capable of transporting tourists to an elevation of 3,300 meters, enabling year-round recreation: skiing and snowboarding in winter, and mountaineering, hiking, and other outdoor activities in spring and summer.
The head of state toured the complex’s facilities, including hotels, restaurants, and retail areas. The modern six-story hotel is designed to accommodate 320 guests and will be able to host up to 45,000 visitors annually. Hotel management will be conducted in partnership with the international Wyndham brand, ensuring high service standards and enhancing the country’s tourism image.
As part of another project, apartment hotels of five and seven stories, a seven-story hotel, and a two-story restaurant are being constructed. These facilities are expected to host over 54,000 tourists per year. More than one hundred jobs will be created, while six chalet-style houses are being built simultaneously.
The President emphasized the importance of applying advanced construction practices and service organization, as well as the need to train qualified personnel and actively promote the region’s opportunities on international tourism platforms.
The complex includes a 300-space parking facility, with its ground floor designated for a restaurant, children’s playground, and retail spaces, providing guests with convenience and a wide range of services.
The launch of the all-season “Chimgan” resort is expected to create thousands of new jobs and provide the local population with a stable source of income. A modern level of service will attract both international and domestic tourists.
Tourism development in Bostanlyk District is closely linked with other sectors of the economy, transforming the region’s landscape. The number of commercial and service facilities is increasing, and traffic flows are rising. The project includes a 1,450-meter vehicular tunnel with two bridges and pedestrian pathways, significantly shortening travel to mountain resorts, enhancing traffic safety, and allowing over 500 vehicles per hour to reach the complex without delays.
It was noted that convenient roads are a key factor in unlocking the region’s tourism potential, while special attention will be paid to environmental protection and fostering an eco-friendly culture of recreation.
Such projects not only create comfortable conditions for tourists but also strengthen the country’s investment appeal and cultural value.
Today, Bostanlyk is becoming one of the dynamically developing centers of tourism, where natural beauty harmoniously coexists with modern complexes and high service standards.
