Mirziyoyev Reviews Bukhara’s New Administrative Center

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to the Bukhara region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of construction and creative works at the region’s new administrative center.

The complex continues the practice of integrating state bodies, a model previously implemented in the Kukdala district of the Kashkadarya region, where 38 institutions were co-located. This approach has significantly simplified public access to government services.

The Bukhara administrative center spans 14 hectares. In the first phase, it houses the regional and city khokimiyats (administrations), the prosecutor's office, the internal affairs department, and other agencies. This consolidation is expected to improve coordination between authorities, accelerate the processing of citizen appeals, and enhance service quality. The complex includes not only administrative buildings but also public spaces such as alleys, fountains, and green zones for residents and visitors.

The President visited the new regional khokimiyat building and emphasized the need to further implement unified administrative hubs across the country to improve public convenience.

During the visit, the head of state was briefed on the socio-economic development of the territory. Notably, an analysis conducted at the mahalla (neighborhood) level using artificial intelligence technologies identified key growth points for the Bukhara district. Based on assessments of land, water, labor resources, infrastructure, and market demand, priority sectors include agrobusiness, tourism, industry, and roadside services. Potential opportunities include the cultivation of 15,000 hectares of land and the creation of 500 hectares of vineyards to develop enotourism (wine tourism).

Projects in the oil and gas, chemical, construction, and food industries are also under consideration. It is estimated that between 2026 and 2031, the volume of such projects could reach 7.4 trillion soums, creating approximately 15,000 jobs. Additionally, 36 mahallas in the district will specialize in six key areas: viticulture, fruit and vegetable farming, livestock, gardening, tourism, and services.

To accelerate these initiatives, AI-based solutions are being introduced to form resource bases, automatically generate business plans, and monitor implementation in real time. The President highlighted the importance of leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence to unlock regional potential, increase employment, and boost public income.
