Mirziyoyev Pays Tribute to Islam Karimov in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to Samarkand, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hazrati Khizr complex and laid flowers at the grave of Islam Karimov, the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Quranic surahs were recited and prayers (duas) offered at the site.

The President arrived in Samarkand to participate in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, held in the historic city.
