Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev handed over a set of archival materials to Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during an informal meeting in Bukhara, the Akorda press service said.
The Kazakh side received copies of documents, drawings, and photographs from the 1920s–1950s discovered in Uzbekistan, related to the mausoleums of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and Rabia Sultan Begim in Turkestan.
According to Akorda, a significant portion of these materials had not previously been introduced into academic circulation and is of considerable historical and cultural value.
Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit on April 11.
As part of the trip, he also visited the memorial complex of Bahauddin Naqshband.
