Mirziyoyev Discusses Security and Strategic Partnership Development with Putin
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 December, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
During the discussion, the President of Uzbekistan firmly condemned the attempted attack on the Russian President’s residence in the Nizhny Novgorod region, noting that such acts pose a threat to stability and security, including efforts aimed at ensuring long-term peace.
The sides reviewed the further development of Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
The leaders also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda and coordinated the schedule of upcoming events.
The conversation concluded with mutual New Year greetings for 2026, with wishes of good health, happiness and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly peoples of both countries.
