Mirziyoyev Appoints Sohibjon Murodov as Director of the Agency for Management of State Assets

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed Sohibjon Murodov as the new Director of the Agency for Management of State Assets of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Previously, Murodov served as Director of the Joint Stock Company “Organization of Electronic Online Auctions.”

He replaces Akmalkhon Ortikov, who was relieved of his duties in January 2026.

Earlier, in January, President Mirziyoyev reported that officials from the Agency for Management of State Assets had sold a land plot at a closed auction for 120 billion soums, despite its market value being no less than 250 billion soums.

Mirziyoyev instructed the Chairman of the State Security Service, Bahodir Kurbanov, to review the accountability of employees overseeing the activities of “Uzbekneftegaz” and the Agency for Management of State Assets.
