Mirziyoyev and Tokayev Launch New Uzbek-Kazakh Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following the second session of the Supreme Interstate Council, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, participated in a ceremony marking the launch of major cooperative projects.
During the event, the start of operations at the International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” was announced. The center has been established to implement joint initiatives in industry and trade. In Tashkent, a new headquarters for Tenge Bank was also inaugurated.
Construction began on the multipurpose logistics center “Silkway Central Asia,” the production facilities for linear alkylbenzene, and the “Astana” residential district in New Tashkent. Additionally, construction of the “Tashkent” and “Astana” hotel complexes, to be built in the capitals of both countries, has been launched.
The heads of state expressed confidence that these projects will serve as a further stimulus for deepening mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and will make a significant contribution to expanding industrial and investment collaboration.
