Mirziyoyev and Japarov Discuss Deepening Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 February, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

During the discussion, the heads of state reviewed ways to further strengthen Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan relations, based on friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

Both leaders noted the steady growth of bilateral trade and highlighted the implementation of industrial cooperation projects.

The conversation also covered ongoing work on major infrastructure projects, including the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and the Kambarata Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The presidents exchanged views on key regional issues and agreed on the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
