Mirziyoyev and Erdoğan Discuss Strengthening Uzbek-Turkish Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 February, during a phone conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his birthday.

The President of Uzbekistan wished the Turkish leader good health, well-being, success in state affairs, and peace and prosperity to the brotherly Turkish people.

The presidents also exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

During the conversation, they discussed further deepening Uzbek-Turkish relations and comprehensive strategic partnership, including the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level in Ankara in January this year.

The high level of interstate interaction was noted, emphasizing that the outcomes of the recent Strategic Cooperation Council meeting have taken bilateral relations to a qualitatively new stage of development.

Special attention was given to advancing joint projects based on the developed “roadmaps.”

The leaders also exchanged views on current international and regional issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
