Minsk, Tashkent police departments sign a memorandum of understanding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Head of Minsk police department, Ivan Kubrakov, met with a delegation from the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs in the city hall, a Minsk-News agency correspondent reports.

During the meeting, the parties noted that in recent years, Belarus and Uzbekistan have been actively interacting in all areas - economic, cultural, law enforcement.

“In November 2019, the first meeting of the heads of the capital’s divisions of the internal affairs bodies of the CIS countries was held in Tashkent,” said Rustam Juraev, head of the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs. - A logical continuation of that meeting was today's signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Main Departments of Internal Affairs of Tashkent and Minsk. In the future, this will allow us to jointly fight extremism, terrorism, transnational crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, without unnecessary bureaucracy, because efficiency is important in our work. I am sure that together with our Minsk colleagues we will ensure the inevitability of punishment for criminals, no matter where they are in.

The parties also agreed on the exchange of experience between employees, their professional development. R. Juraev noted that the Minsk police have good experience in combating crime in the field of high technology.
