Ministry of Public Education calls to public about violence
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gazeta.uz website reported about violence against children in a specialized school No. 64 in Samarkand city.
Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan expressed its extreme concern over the incident. The ministry said it sent a working group to Samarkand city to investigate incident with law enforcement officials.
Specialized boarding school for boys No 64 is only place, where children at the age between 11 and 16 are placed for committing offenses. Children, who continue to commit dangerous social activities, are also trained here.
Currently, the boarding school has 109 students, as well as 44 teachers and 34 of them are employees of the school.
The special working group of Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan together with representatives of law enforcement agencies will conduct a thorough investigation, following which all persons involved in the offenses will be prosecuted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Public Education stated that it is against all forms of violence and encourages the public (parents, teachers, students, etc.) to be vigilant in detecting signs of violence and immediately report about such cases to the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies. The results of this incident will be published upon completion of the investigation.
