Ministry of Preschool Education announces a competition to create the best children’s character

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Preschool Education, together with the Uzbek Agency for Press and Information, from 26 January to 15 February 2019 are accepting applications for participation in a competition to create original characters. The created images can be used in children’s literature and multimedia products of MPE.

As part of the contest, a participant (or a group of participants) needs to create a children’s character / group of characters (human, animal, fictional hero, inanimate object) symbolically related to the culture, characteristics and traditions of the people of Uzbekistan.

The transparency and impartiality of the competition will be ensured by a public vote, held on the site www.tanlov.mdo.uz from 16 to 20 February 2019. Residents of Uzbekistan will choose the ten best works, which will be held in the final. Participants who use cheating mechanisms and other unfair methods of obtaining votes are excluded from the competition. Also, the organizers reserve the right to include in the number of finalists up to five projects that did not make it to the top ten.

The final will be held in the format of open and public discussion. The commission will select the three best works, and children from 14 regional pre-school institutions will determine the winner in the nomination “Children’s Audience Award”.

The winner and prize-winners of the competition are awarded with honorary diplomas, memorable gifts from sponsors, and also receive monetary rewards from the Ministry of Pre-School Education:

• First place - 10 million soums;
• The second place is 6 million soums;
• Third place is 4 million soums.

Individuals and legal entities are allowed to participate in the competition on the terms of a public offer, the terms of which are available at www.tanlov.mdo.uz. An unlimited amount of work is accepted from each participant. The person, who sent the work to participate in the competition, thereby accepts all the conditions of the public offer.
