Ministry of Justice adopt changes procedure for registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Tashkent and Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Justice adopted amendments and additions to instruction on the procedure for permanent and temporary registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region.

According to amendments, notarization of the application-consent of the property owner for the provision of living space attached to the application for obtaining a permit for permanent residence in Tashkent and the Tashkent region by foreign citizens and stateless persons is not required in the personal presence of the applicant.

In addition, a notarization of documents for housing attached to the application is not required for obtaining a permanent residence permit for foreign citizens and stateless persons holding a residence permit, as well as arriving from other regions of the country.

According to the amendments, in the case of a refusal of permanent residence, the applicant must leave the territory of Tashkent and Tashkent region within three days.

Except for the following cases:

• purchasing a house;
• in the presence of close relatives (spouse, parents, children);
• in the presence of guardians (Trustees);
• working activity, studying in universities and institutions;
• treatment in medical institutions.
