Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade hosts a meeting with the delegation of Turkish State Railways

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 September 2019, a meeting with the delegation of Turkish State Railways JSC headed by Director General E. Arykan was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was also attended by employees of the Turkish Embassy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of Urta Osiyo Trans and Silk Road International.

At the meeting, topical issues of the development of transportation between the two countries were discussed, given the growing volume of trade and the growing activity of the business sector in the country.

In particular, the parties discussed the establishment of multi-modal cargo transportation along the route Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China. The importance of taking comprehensive measures to develop the international transport system was noted, which will have a significant impact on the growth of the economies of the above-mentioned countries.

They also considered proposals for organizing an Uzbek-Turkish business forum, on the basis of which entrepreneurs of the two countries could effectively exchange information, establish new contacts and contacts, and work on the implementation of new projects.

An agreement was reached on close cooperation in this direction.
