Ministry of Internal Affairs launches a website for receiving video violations of traffic rules

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has launched a website for receiving video facts of traffic offenses.

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution "On additional measures to improve the effectiveness of the fight against offenses in the field of road safety" in 2018.

The procedure for receiving video recordings and encouraging the persons who submitted them was approved by this document.

On 1 July 2019, a centralized collection of video recordings of cases of offenses recorded by video recorders was launched in Uzbekistan. Video recordings can be uploaded to the jarima.uz website.

According to the document, the presented materials are equated with video recordings of offenses produced by special automated technical means of photo and video recording.

The document also establishes a requirement for video quality and applicants.

Video recordings must be visible and clearly distinguishable the offense committed, the vehicle make and number, the date and time of the offense.

Changes in the video are strictly forbidden, except for trimming the roller before and after the part in which the offense was sealed (the duration should not exceed, as a rule, 120 seconds).

Applicants must provide their data, including the address and details of the bank account (in the case of a video recording sent by a representative of a legal entity), a phone or plastic card number and an email address, etc.

By sending a video, the users can get a remuneration in the amount of 5% of the minimum wage (at the moment – 10,100 soums) due to the amount of the fine collected from the offender.
