Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 8 August, the number of cases of coronavirus registered in Uzbekistan made up 29,918 patients, an increase of 693 per day, the press service of the Ministry of Health said. All new cases were detected among the population.

During the day, 5 deaths of patients with coronavirus were reported, including 4 in Tashkent and 1 in Tashkent region. The total number of deaths, according to the Ministry of Health, reached 188 people.

936 people were discharged, the number of cured reached 21,316, or 71%.

8,414 people are on treatment in medical institutions, 974 of them are in serious condition, 274 are extremely serious.
