Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Energy reports that there are cases of power outages in many regions of Uzbekistan due to rains and snowfall on 9 April, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
The branches of many trees were broken off under the weight of wet snow that was not typical for April. As a result, there are cases of damage to power grids and automatic power outages. On average, about 15 percent of consumers across the country as a result were without energy supply.
Throughout the day, repair teams of Regional Electric Networks JSC carry out the necessary restoration work in all regions of Uzbekistan.
The Department of Energy also notes that not a single power outage has been associated with a shortage of electricity, since an excess amount of electricity is currently being produced. In quarantine conditions, when many facilities and production facilities do not work, in Uzbekistan there is a decrease in the total amount of electricity consumed.
Measures to restore energy supply, where it was interrupted due to adverse weather conditions, continue throughout the country.
