Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the Ministry of Energy on 30 October, a meeting was held between Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and Secretary General of the SCO Vladimir Norov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
As noted during the conversation, during the period of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, it has been done to develop economic cooperation in Central Asia and strengthen stability and security.
To date, cooperation has been established between the SCO member countries in all areas of the economy, cooperation between research institutions is being developed, issues of creating common markets, including energy resources, are being worked out.
The parties discussed promising areas of multilateral trade and economic cooperation of the SCO member states, in particular with the PRC. Among them, the development of a dialogue on the implementation of projects to introduce innovative technologies for the deep processing of coal and natural gas.
The exchange of experience and best practices in improving energy efficiency, including energy-efficient and clean energy technologies, is of great interest and prospect for cooperation between the SCO countries.
