Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus, the conscription was suspended for an indefinite period, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Deferral of draft will be applied both to the term of service in the army, and to military service in a mobilization draft reserve.

After signing the contract for military service in the mobilization reserve, those who completed the payment will serve later in the prescribed manner. Postponement of the next draft will not undermine the potential of the national army, the statement said.
