Ministry of Agriculture Discusses Sugar Beet Innovations with NuVive

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new joint food security project is being launched in Uzbekistan with the participation of the American company NuVive.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Alisher Shukurov held a meeting with a delegation led by NuVive’s CEO, Albert Dwaibes.

During the talks, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation and the practical implementation of the innovative project. NuVive is globally recognized for introducing advanced approaches and technologies in the agro-food sector aimed at addressing food security challenges amid climate change and rapid population growth.

Under the initiative, the American side proposed creating a self-sufficient sugar beet production system in Uzbekistan. The project is designed to enhance the seasonal efficiency of agriculture and ensure continuity in production processes.

At the first stage, sugar beets will be cultivated in greenhouses using smart technologies. Later, a modern processing facility is planned for construction.

Alisher Shukurov confirmed the Ministry of Agriculture’s readiness to provide comprehensive support within its competence.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop specific proposals and strengthen future cooperation.
