Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Uzbekistan Timothy Torlot.

During the meeting, the Minister spoke about the results achieved over the years of activity and the state of international cooperation of the Ministry of Preschool Education for the period 2017-2020, and also praised the UK's experience in this area.

Mr. Torlot praised the ongoing state policy in the development of pre-school education in the country and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive assistance together with the British Council in Uzbekistan to develop this area, including attracting private British investors and providing advisory support on the development of IT solutions in the field of preschool education.

Agrippina Shin thanked for the initiatives and suggested starting a joint work on:

- the introduction of digital pedagogy through distance learning and the development of educational media content;

- improving the state curriculum “ILK QADAM” taking into account the best British experience.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Torlot invited A.V. Shin to attend a business conference on education and the digital economy, scheduled to be held in London in May 2020.

The parties agreed to continue developing Uzbek-British cooperation in the field of preschool education.
