Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On February 20, 2019, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Ingrid Tersman, whose residence is in Stockholm.
The parties discussed prospects of cooperation in the areas of improving law-making process, attracting investments, resolving disputes through providing legal and public services (notaries), mediation and arbitration, and training highly qualified legal personnel. Constructive exchange of views on practical aspects of relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats was held.
It was noted that the dynamic reforms carried out in Uzbekistan are opening new opportunities for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in all spheres of society. Ambassador of Sweden shared her impressions of the International Conference “Central Asian Connectivity: Challenges and new Opportunities”, organized in Tashkent on February 19-20 in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and analytical centers of the leading countries of the region. During the meeting, held in a sincere and constructive spirit, the sides also considered other issues of mutual interest and expressed their readiness to further develop and strengthen the relations.
At the end of the meeting R. Davletov invited his Swedish colleagues to participate in the Tashkent Law Spring International Legal Forum.
