Minister of Innovation Development meets with representatives of Nagoya University

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 February, Minister of Innovation Development Ibrohim Abdurahmonov received a delegation led by the director of the Institute of Asian Satellite Campuses of Nagoya University, Isoda Fumio.

The parties identified the need for high-quality and timely implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Innovation Development put forward a number of proposals. In particular, the issue of inviting honorary professors from Nagoya University - Nobel Prize winners Ryoji Noori and Hiroshi Amano to participate in the International Symposium "State and Prospects for the Development of Bioorganic Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology" was discussed.

They also discussed the organization of short-term scientific internships for up to 6 months for young scientists and researchers in the field of information technology, robotics, nanotechnology, chemistry, biology, mathematics, medicine, geology and other fields.

The parties also considered the issue of establishing cooperation of innovation centers under the Ministry with institutions of Nagoya University that are engaged in innovation, such as the National Innovation Center, the Innovation Research Center for specialized medical technologies, the Center for Biology and Biotechnology, and the Center for Gene Research.

In addition, issues related to the implementation of joint scientific projects in the field of transport, robotics, urban planning, bio-farming, geology, mathematics, and others were discussed.
