During the meeting, the parties discussed issues on improving the mechanism for providing targeted assistance and social support to socially vulnerable segments of the population of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations said.

Following the meeting, UNICEF representatives agreed to assist in by studying foreign experience in the field of social support of the population; conducting a joint household survey, to identify the specific needs of low-income families; in creation of a single registry of low-income families; training of ministry representatives in this field; organization of a joint seminar on social support for socially vulnerable segments of the population.
