Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Innovation Development is transferring technologies for the production of mechanical ventilation apparatuses and anesthetic breathing apparatus together with Chirana (Slovakia) and partners from the Russian Federation.

As the head of the Department of the Ministry of Innovative Development Jamoliddin Babakhanov noted, the production of ventilators will begin in May 2020. The completion of the construction of the production site in the Bektemir district of the city of Tashkent is planned until September this year, when the plant will be commissioned.

At the first stage of production localization, foreign partners plan to make investments in the amount of 3 million US dollars and open 30 jobs. At the second stage, it is planned to invest up to 5-6 million dollars and create up to 100 jobs.

Due to the current situation in the country due to coronavirus and taking into account the urgent need for consumables for ventilators and personal protective equipment for patients, CHIRANA ASIA, together with its Russian partners, is ready to provide assistance to Uzbekistan and donates respiratory circuits without accessories ( 1000 pcs.), Breathing circuits without accessories with a water collector (500 pcs.) And single-use bacterial-viral filters without TVO (1000 pcs.).

The joint Slovak-Russian-Uzbek enterprise “CHIRANA ASIA” was created. The purpose of creating the company "CHIRANA ASIA" is the release of high-tech medical equipment that has no analogues in the country under the label "Made in Uzbekistan". Such production will be carried out for the first time in Central Asia, which will accelerate import substitution in the medical industry. In addition, a powerful service center with spare parts for repair will be created, seminars on the use of mechanical ventilation and NDA will be held with the invitation of highly qualified foreign experts in the field of anesthesiology.

It is planned to sell products in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
