Mininnovation hosts meeting with students of Columbia University
The deputy head of the information and analytical department, Timur Allayarov, presented the main goals and tasks of the ministry to the guests, as well as shared the progress of implementing current projects in various areas.
Allayarov said that one of the priorities of the Ministry is to create conditions for fruitful cooperation between science and the real sector of the economy in order to increase the competitiveness of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the international market.
The guests, in turn, shared their vision on improving the quality of human capital by introducing innovations in educational process of higher education institutions in order to achieve the objectives.
During the meeting the international experience of development of start-ups, venture financing and innovative ecosystem was discussed. Special attention was paid to the discussion of the formation of the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic.
In particular, the prospects of forming a long-term model of innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed, with an emphasis on improving the welfare of the population, improving the quality of human capital and enhancing the investment attractiveness of the republic.
As a result, both sides agreed that the active involvement of young people in the process of the republic’s development is an important driver of progress, and exchanged proposals for further cooperation and joint projects.
