Mingbulak field: new perspectives, new opportunities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A workshop was held in Neftegazinvest with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of Uzbekneftegaz, Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Mingbulakneft, TATNEFT, Zarubezhneft and VNIIneft (Russia).

At the event, experts discussed new geological and technological information obtained during the drilling of the M-15 well, as well as prospects for additional exploration and development of the Mingubulak field with the use of advanced technologies of Tatneft and Zarubezhneft, as well as leading world-renowned companies.

The logical continuation of the seminar was the departure of specialists to the Mingbulak field in Namangan region, where they familiarized themselves with the large-scale work carried out at the facility, with the positive results of testing the M15 well, where industrial oil and gas flows were received and their reserves increased.

It is worth noting that the supplementary exploration of the Mingubulak field was started in July 2017 by drilling the M-15 well. In May 2019, tests were completed here. The depth of this well today is 5 918 meters. Therefore, the organization of this seminar with the on-site visit of specialists will allow attracting the most advanced technologies and a significant amount of investments to further development and development of this field to further improve the efficiency of the project.
