Milan–Cortina 2026: Uzbekistan Secures Four Olympic Quota Places

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national team has secured four quota places for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games Milan–Cortina 2026, which will be held in Italy from 6 to 22 February.

Based on the results of the qualification cycle, Olympic berths were earned by the figure skating pair Dmitry Chigiryov and Ekaterina Geinish, alpine skier Medet Nazarov in slalom and giant slalom, as well as short track speed skater Daniil Eybog in the 500-meter event.

However, due to an injury, Dmitry Chigiryov will be unable to compete, and as a result, Uzbekistan will be represented at the Games in alpine skiing and short track speed skating.
