Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 June 2020, a video conference was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade (MIFT) Sh.Vafaev, Director of the Center for Development of Investment Projects under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kh. Teshabaev, Deputy Director of the Secretariat for leadership and government capabilities of the Ministry of Government and Future Affairs of the UAE, Yasser Al Nakbi, and the Director General of Dubai Future Foundation (UAE) Halfan Belhoul.
During the videoconference, the Emirate presented information on the activities and opportunities of the Dubai Future Foundation in the development and implementation of innovative, sought-after investment projects, as well as shared the experience of creating business incubators.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on establishing direct cooperation between the Center and the Dubai Future Foundation, organizing a training program aimed at increasing the potential of the Center and enhancing the effectiveness of the Project Factory, operating at the Center, whose main task is to develop new large investment projects.
The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) was established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE in 2016. DFF plays a key role in planning and shaping the future of the UAE. DFF strives to make Dubai the leading city of the future. DFF helps strengthen Dubai’s position as a global destination for the best intellectuals and many promising innovators. He also supports startups and searches for innovative projects around the world.
Today, DFF collaborates with the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the project "One Million Programmers", which is a free distance learning for the general population through a specialized online portal. Arrangements for the implementation of a large-scale project were reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019.
