Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - From the first days of the announcement of quarantine measures on the COVID-19 coronavirus in Uzbekistan, both entrepreneurs and citizens of Uzbekistan have launched charitable events everywhere to help the government reduce the negative impact of the pandemic.

This is reflected in:

- helping older people;

- gratis distribution of protective masks;

- sale of food products at discounted prices;

- free transfer of people to interregional directions;

- the refusal of entrepreneurs from profits for taxi services;

- free delivery of food, food and other essential goods to the population.

At the same time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan receives offers from entrepreneurs to transfer money to special funds in order to assist the Government with additional financial resources to solve problems and provide assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population.

In this regard, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry once again confirms on its official accounts about the possibility of transferring funds to the account of the Mehr-Shafqat va Salomatlik Public Foundation operating under the Ministry of Health.

Over the first day alone, more than 5 billion soums was received to the account of the Mehr-Shafqat va Salomatlik Public Foundation.

We also thank the staff of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan for their initiative to transfer part of their wages to the account of the said fund in a total amount of more than 56 million soums.
