Meffert upsets fifth seeded Schuettler to make it to round two at Tashkent Challenger

The 30 year old German Meffert who has been out for the majority of the year due to an shoulder injury upset his fifth seeded countryman Rainer Schuettler 6-4, 6-4 in a match lasting 1 hour and 13 minutes .

The 6ft 6 inches Meffert currently ranked 181 served 4 aces and broke the 35 year old former star Schuettler in the first game of the first set and the 9th game of the second set to register a convincing win and go up 2-1 in their head to head rivalry.
