Meeting held in the Senate with a delegation led by the Head of the Milli Majlis Administration of Azerbaijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 September, a meeting took place in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis between Kudrat Nurullayev, Head of the Senate Administration, and a delegation led by Farid Hajiyev, Head of the Milli Majlis Administration of Azerbaijan.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations are built on centuries-old historical ties and shared cultural and spiritual values. It was noted that, thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries, interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has reached a qualitatively new level.

Special attention was given to the successful conduct of the First Uzbek-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Forum in Khiva, as well as to the signing of the “roadmap” for interparliamentary cooperation for 2025–2026. The parties highlighted the importance of further advancing the agreements reached and deepening partnership at both the parliamentary leadership level and within their administrative bodies.

The discussion also covered prospects for collaboration between the parliamentary administrations of the two countries. In particular, topics included the exchange of experience in lawmaking, the development of parliamentary expertise, information and analytical work, the use of international ratings, and the implementation of innovative digital solutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue expanding interparliamentary ties, maintain a constant constructive dialogue, and practically strengthen cooperation between the parliamentary administrations of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
