Meeting at Malika Shopping Complex Focuses on Strengthening Tax Compliance and Combating the Shadow Economy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Malika shopping complex with the participation of the leadership of Tashkent’s Main State Tax Department, representatives of the city prosecutor’s office, and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
During the meeting, key tasks were identified to counter the shadow economy and ensure compliance with trade legislation. Responsible officials received specific assignments, the implementation of which is under strict supervision.
In addition, the regulatory authorities conducted an inspection of the complex and held preventive discussions with entrepreneurs. They explained the importance of ensuring transparency in commercial operations, fully accounting for revenues, expanding cashless payments, using fiscal cash registers, and timely issuing electronic invoices.
As a result of the inspection, the activities of 129 legal entities and 267 individual entrepreneurs operating within the complex were reviewed, and it was established that 117 citizens are properly registered and conduct business in accordance with the law.
