Medical products for 249bn soums produced in Uzbekistan

Medical industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 249 billion soums in the first half of 2014, the State Statistics Committee of the country said. The growth rate made u 12.8% year-on-year.
In January-June 2014, the enterprises of medical industry increased production of medicaments, which do not contain hormones or antibiotics - by 5.8%, medicines containing other antibiotics, packed for retail sale - 32.5%, vitamins and their derivatives - 2.4 times.
At the same time, the country increased production of medical wadding, gauze and similar materials, impregnated or covered with pharmaceutical substances by 2.2 times.
