Measures to improve the position of Uzbekistan in international rankings and indices approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On systematization of measures to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices.”

The head of Uzbekistan has formed a commission to coordinate work with priority international ratings and indices.

Also, the position of the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan responsible for working with international ratings and indices has been introduced into the structure of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Odilbek Isakov took this position.

In the structure of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Department for work with international ratings and indices has been created.

According to the decree, the commission determines the priority areas for achieving the target indicators by the responsible ministries and departments and coordinates the work carried out.

The Commission makes appropriate decisions, ensures their quality and timely execution by ministries and departments, and also hears their monthly reports.

The Deputy Minister of Finance ensures the coordinated interaction of the responsible ministries and departments to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices, providing them with methodological and consulting assistance in the effective and high-quality implementation of the tasks assigned.

The Deputy Minister of Finance proposes a critical review at meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including its Presidium, the state of work carried out by the responsible ministries and departments to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices.

The Department is the working body of the Commission, organizes the effective work of the responsible ministries and departments on work with international ratings and indexes, summarizes the necessary data, performs the following tasks in this direction:

• requests the necessary data from the responsible ministries and departments, prepares informational and analytical materials on the effectiveness of the measures taken and submits them to the Commission;
• works directly with organizations, rating agencies that publish international ratings and indices, domestic and international experts, consultants and specialists, including inviting them to the republic and closely acquaints with the scale of the reforms, organizes the participation of specialists in events abroad, “round tables”, International forums and conferences;
• closely cooperates with the Sector for work with international ratings and coordination of work on the implementation of the E-Government system of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the definition of comprehensive measures in order to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices;
• develops relevant proposals and submits them to the Commission for consideration.
