Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 July 2020, the General Prosecutor’s Office discussed the implementation of tasks arising from the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan" from 29 June 2020.
The event was attended by the leadership, heads of the relevant departments of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan
During the discussions, issues of further improving legislation in the field of combating corruption, introducing modern information and communication technologies and other organizational measures imposed on the General Prosecutor’s Office in order to effectively organize the activities of the Anti-Corruption Agency were considered.
In particular, the development of draft laws "On the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On the declaration of income, property and conflict of interests of civil servants", "On anti-corruption expertise of regulatory legal acts and their projects", the launch of the electronic platform "E-Anticor .uz "and special mobile software that allows you to inform about the facts of corruption were discussed.
The participants considered issues on organizing training at the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office for employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency, who are hired for the first time, on the basis of special educational programs covering theoretical and practical issues of preventing and combating corruption, studying foreign experience and international standards;
They also discussed the tasks arising from the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the organization of the activities of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
As a result of the meeting, appropriate measures were determined to jointly implement the established tasks.
