Measures adopted to support disabled people and elderly, living in boarding houses

The Council is created in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further strengthen social support of disabled people and elderly, living in boarding houses “Muruvvat”and “Sakhovat”.

The territorial council will be created in Karakalpakstan, regions and the capital. The councils will develop and implement state programs for social support of disabled people and elderly, strengthening material and technical base, improving the facilities and areas of boarding-houses, creating an effective system of providing medical and social assistance to disabled people and the elderly, etc.

Within the resolution, off-budget Fund for supporting boarding houses “Muruvvat” and “Sakhovat” under the Ministry of Health is being established.

The Fund’s resources will be formed at expense of charitable donations, technical assistance (grants) and other non-prohibited means.

The resources of the fund will be used to strengthen the material and technical base of the boarding houses “Muruvvat” and “Sakhovat”, social, medical and cultural services, creation of favorable conditions for living, organization and holding of various cultural events, competitions, sports competitions, seminars and for other purposes to support disabled people and the elderly.
