Marriage Contracts Can Now Be оформed Through a Notary in Person, Online, or via On-Site Service
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has registered a regulatory act governing the procedure by which notaries certify marriage contracts.
Under the document, the procedure may be carried out at a notary office, remotely via video conferencing, or on an off-site basis at the request of the parties.
To initiate the execution of a marriage contract, the parties must either apply in person at a notary office or submit a relevant application through the Unified Interactive Public Services Platform (my.gov.uz) or the E-notarius.uz portal.
After the application is submitted, the notary is required to verify the identities of the applicants.
As part of the verification process, the notary establishes whether the parties have reached the legal marriage age, whether they are not currently in another registered marriage, and whether a similar agreement has not previously been concluded between them.
Once the draft contract has been prepared and notarial fees have been paid, the parties are invited simultaneously to sign the document.
The signatures must be affixed in the presence of the notary, with the full surname, given name, and patronymic of each spouse clearly indicated.
