Market Stall Collapses in Andijan, Vendor Injured

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 December, at around 11:00 a.m., a market stall loaded with winter clothing collapsed on a vendor in the Khodjaabad district of Andijan, according to the district administration’s press service.

Preliminary reports indicate that the structure had been installed independently by the entrepreneur and did not meet safety standards.

The collapse was caused by excessive placement of heavy goods on the top of the stall.

As a result, the vendor sustained injuries and was hospitalized. He received professional medical care, and his condition is reported as satisfactory.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
