Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Surkhandarya, a court sentenced a young man to 4 years in prison for committing a robbery. This was reported by the press service of the Investigation Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation established that on 22 December 2019, at about 23:30 hours, the 23-year-old Tulkin R., armed with a knife, putting on a medical mask and gloves, climbed over the iron fence, illegally entered the territory of a private enterprise located on Buyuk Ipak Yuli Street in Sherabad region, where he attacked the company’s watchman, threatening with a knife, cut the wiring cables with which he tied the watchman’s hands and feet and tied the latter to the bed, after which he damaged the surveillance cameras of the 1st trading store, got inside the store and opened an iron safe, stole 7,000 000 soums and a mobile phone of Samsung galaxy J3 brand, besides this, Tulkin R. broke the shop window, got inside and stole 8,500,000 soums from the closet and disappeared from the scene.
During the preliminary investigation, the stolen Samsung galaxy J3 mobile phone and 9,284,000 soums were seized from Tulkin R. As evidence, charges were brought under paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 164 of the Criminal Code (robbery committed with illegal entry into a dwelling or other premises) a preventive measure in the form of “detention” was chosen.
The criminal case with the indictment in the prescribed manner was sent to the court on jurisdiction.
The verdict of the Sherabad district criminal court of 14 May 2020 Tulkin R. was found guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison.
