Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — “Toshshahartransxizmat” in Tashkent, the company’s press service reported.
The incident occurred on 13 January 2026, at approximately 02:03, involving a MAN A22 CNG bus from 2018 with license plate 01 903 OJA (fleet number 012). On-duty dispatchers promptly reported the fire to the emergency number 101 at 02:10.

The fire department unit of the Emergency Situations Directorate arrived on site at 02:20, and the blaze was completely extinguished by 02:40. No injuries were reported.
The bus was assigned to driver Murodjon Mahmudov, born in 1979, who has a total of 10 years of professional experience, including three years at this branch. The vehicle served route No. 101.

Earlier on 12 January, at 04:16, the bus underwent a technical inspection and was deemed serviceable. It went on its route at 05:33, completed all scheduled trips for the day, and finished service around 22:00. After the shift, the driver refueled the bus at the “Davron Sifatli Gaz” CNG station and returned it to the depot at 23:29, parking it with the doors closed.

The incident has been formally recorded by the emergency authorities. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire, with results to be reported later.
