Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Repair work using internal control capabilities was carried out at the compressor station “DKS-2” of the Shurtan oil and gas production department of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”.

The main objective of this compression compressor is to achieve effective production of natural gas from the Shurtan and South Tandyrcha deposits, as well as to increase the pressure of natural gas from low pressure wells and direct it to the main Shurtan facility.

Gas units at this compressor station increase the pressure of natural gas and ensure that the gas pressure at the BKS-1 DKS-1 does not drop below 18 kgf / cm2. It should also be noted that stopping one of them will lead to a reduction in natural gas production by about 1.0-2.0 million cubic meters per day.

Given this, a breakdown on the compressor part No. 300 of the gas unit - it was necessary to quickly eliminate erosion during compaction.

To eliminate this malfunction No. 300, the gas unit of the compressor station “DKS-2” was suspended according to the plan.

In accordance with the manufacturer’s repair instructions for the plant, mechanical engineers of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Shurtansky OGPD together with replaced the compressor seal (TGDU) with a new one and put the unit into operation.

In the process of repair work, the front and rear covers of the compressor were removed, the thrust, thrust bearings, and seals (TGDU) were removed with special gaskets, the inside was cleaned, then new seals were installed and the compressor was assembled. All automatic sensors, valves and ball valves in this unit have been tested. In addition, during the repair process, a number of technical complex calculations were made and commissioning was carried out.

As a result, it was possible to ensure uninterrupted operation of gas units and prevent a decrease in natural gas production.

The compressor station “DKS-2” is located on the territory of Guzar district of Kashkadarya region, has 5 gas pumping units and has a capacity of 9 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. The station was installed and commissioned in 2015 at gas plants manufactured by the KMPO OJSC plant in Russia.
