Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to promote the tourism potential of our country in Malaysia and the development of the film industry, on the initiative of the ambassador of the tourism brand of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, Daler Yusuf, a project was developed in collaboration with the Malaysian film studio “Zeel Production” in Uzbekistan.
According to the project, commissioned by the RTM Malaysian television and radio company and the Cinema Malaysia film company, the film studio in Uzbekistan began shooting a series called Juliet and the feature film If You Still Were With Me (Seandainya kau ada).
In accordance with the agreement between the State Committee for Tourism Development and the film studio, 26 episodes of these films will be shot in Uzbekistan (i.e. 30% of the screen time of the series and 40% of the feature film).
Famous Malaysian artists, in particular, the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Daler Yusuf, will star in the series and feature film. Filming will mainly take place in Tashkent, as well as in the ski resort of Amirsay and in Khiva.
The airtime of each episode of the series is one hour. The series will be broadcast seven times a week in prime time on the RTM channel and almost 3 million families will watch it. The duration of the feature film is 1 hour and 15 minutes; it will be shown in more than 60 movie theaters in Malaysia.
Active propaganda of the opportunities and benefits created by foreign film companies for the production of such films in Uzbekistan will help attract foreign film companies in our country.
