Malaysian investors are waiting for the start of a new project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The management of Uzkimyosanoat and the Malaysian company Serba Dinamik International Limited (SDIL) held online negotiations organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, Dunyo reported.

From the Uzbek side, the chairman of the board of Uzkimyosanoat Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade took part in the negotiations, the partner side was represented by the Vice President of SDIL Palendran Palachandran.

The meeting participants discussed issues of further practical implementation of the project on organizing the production of caustic soda and liquid chlorine in the Khazorasp FEZ of Khorezm region worth US$250 million, carried out through direct Malaysian investments.

The Malaysian side assured that SDIL will take all necessary measures to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the investment project. It was reported that at present, together with the European company ThyssenKrupp, work is underway to design the architectural planning of the plant. Negotiations are underway with the Uzengineering design institute in order to sign an agreement to adapt the project documentation in accordance with the requirements of national legislation. A visit of the company's expert group to the republic is planned, which will conduct soil research, determine drilling points, conduct geodetic surveys, laboratory tests of salt and water samples, and prepare for construction and installation works.

As a result of the videoconference, agreements were reached on accelerating the signing of an agreement with the Uzengineering design institute on adapting project documentation and organizing the visit of the SDIL and TKUCES expert group to the republic as regular flights open.
