Machinery enterprises of Uzbekistan produce goods for 2.93 trln. soums in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Machinery enterprises of Uzbekistan produced goods for 2.934 trillion soums in the first quarter of 2014, which grew by 26% compared to the same period of 2013, the information service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Share of the industry in total industrial production of Uzbekistan reached 18% in the first quarter of 2014, or grew by 2.7 percentage points compared to the same period of 2013 (15.3%).

Uzbekistan increased production of trucks by 20.7% year-on-year in the first three months of 2014, automobiles (without specialized) by 15.7% year-on-year, buses – 12%. The country significantly increased production of Gentra cars (11,017 units) and started production of Orlando cars.

At the same time, the industry increased production of lead-acid batteries for starting piston engines (3%), motor vehicles (32.5%), radiators, silencers, exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels (2.3 times), running wheels, their parts and accessories (4.1 times).

In the first quarter of 2014, Uzbekistan increased production such electrical products, such as: circuit breakers (for voltage up to 1 kV) - 14.8 times, stranded wire of aluminum (no electrical isolation) - 2.2 times, other electric conductors, for a voltage exceeding 1 kV (high) - 1.8 times, insulated wires wound - by 19.9%, distribution boards and other panels, fitted with equipment for tripping switching or protecting electrical circuits for a voltage ≤ 1 kV - 9.9%.

The production of refrigerators and freezers rose by 50 times in the reporting period, LCD and Plasma TV sets - 4.1 times, the centrifugal submersible pumps for liquids - 2.7 times , and gas-discharge lamps - 1.5 times.
