LUKOIL plans to produce up to 16 billion cubic meters of gas per year in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian company LUKOIL plans to produce up to 16 billion cubic meters of gas per year in Uzbekistan.
According to the company’s executive vice president, Ravil Maganov, gas production at LUKOIL’s projects in Uzbekistan will exceed 16 billion cubic meters per year.
He said that from 2019, the total gas production in the framework of projects in Uzbekistan will exceed 16 billion cubic meters per year. In 2018, Lukoil produced 13.42 billion cubic meters of gas in Uzbekistan.
LUKOIL has been working in Uzbekistan for 15 years. Its cumulative investment in all projects in the country is about US$8 billion. Cumulative natural gas production at projects managed by LUKOIL in Uzbekistan reached 60 billion cubic meters
Due to the launch of the second stage of the gas processing complex at the Kandym project in 2018, gas production in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2019 increased to 3.8 billion cubic meters, which is 33% more than in the first quarter of 2018.
