President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures on further improving order of distribution of medicinal products and medical devices, pharmaceutical licensing activities” on 14 February.
The decision was adopted to further improving level of provision of medicaments and medical products to population, preventing violation of set order of price formation for medicaments and medical products, improving order of licensing of separate types of pharmaceutical products.
The resolution said that there are shortages in preventing facts of selling medicaments and medical products on high prices and low level of compliances on set order of state regulating of prices for socially important medicaments and medical products.
The document said that it is necessary to introduce new system of licensing of retail sales of medicaments and medical products, improve legal mechanism of protection of consumers and control over compliance to licensing requirements and conditions.
Uzbek leader entrusted the State Committee on privatization, demonopolization and development of competition and Department on fighting with tax, currency crimes and legalization of crime income to ensure control over compliance to order of the state regulated prices by retail organizations, selling medicaments and medical products.
